I served in the armed forces.
Jerry Lee Brockman, age 79 of White Hall, passed away Saturday, June 22, 2019 at his home surrounded by his family after a long battle with liver disease. He was born December 15, 1939 in Steele, MO to the late John Virgil Brockman and Eva Overshine Brockman.

He was a retired pipefitter and welder with Local Union 665 and 155, United States Army Veteran serving in the 82nd Airborne Division. He was a founding member of the Funderburg Hunting Club. He was of the Baptist faith. Jerry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and friend. He loved hunting, fishing, and gardening, which he shared with the entire community. He had a gentle spirit, compassionate heart, a wonderful sense of humor and lovingly liked to joke and tease with everyone. If you knew Jerry, he would tell you "Family is Everything"! One of his last moments he said "Isn't it beautiful?" in which we asked "What is beautiful, Daddy"? He replied "My Family". Go today and love your family.

In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by three brothers, Jim Brockman, Harry Cunningham and Frank Cunningham.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Ann McArthur Brockman of White Hall; one son, John Robin "Rob" Brockman and wife Tracey of Redfield; two daughters, Sheila Lively and husband Randall of Grapevine and Kelly Rector and husband Rob of Springfield, MO; five grandchildren, Bailey Brockman, Landon Lively and wife Lauren, Lauren O'Bryant and husband Tyler, Lacey Lively and Brittany Rector; three great-grandchildren, Rhett, Ella and Easton; one brother, David Cunningham of Washington State; three sisters, Virginia Ensley and husband Bob of Topeka, KS, Joyce Cunningham of Topeka, KS and Mary Todd of Macon, GA; and sister-in-law, Faye Brockman of Red Bluff, CA.

Goodbye to a very special friend and neighbor. You set a very high mark for the rest of us to try to attain. You will be greatly missed by your family and your many, many friends. I will have to be more careful not to get my lawnmower stuck now, as you will not be there to just appear and pull me out and even though I knew all there was to know about making a garden, some how you managed to find a few voids in my knowledge and educate me. Norma and I always enjoyed visiting with you and Ann although I now realize we did not do it nearly enough. You will always be a void our hearts that can never be filled.
RIP Jerry, we will always love you.

We are going to miss our friend and neighbor of the last eleven years. He gave us lots of unsolicited help over those years, When I had to have shoulder replacement, he just showed up with his yard vacuum and cleaned my whole yard and when he noticed that I had got my lawn mower stuck {again}, there he was, ready to pull me out. My thanks was all the payment he ever wanted. We talked a lot about the Peelers from Jacksonville when he found out I knew Jessie from school and about the Air Base when he learned I worked there for 30+ years. He was quick to let you know how much he cared for his family. RIP Jerry, we love you.

Uncle and Family - - Our fathers endured hardships while growing up. But, they showed us what UNCONDITIONAL love is all about, importance of family, honor, security and protection. I believe both dad and Uncle Jerry have reunited above - and are watching over us as Angels. I am so very grateful that we came to visit you all a few years ago. I will cherish the memories. Hugs to all of you!!
