He graduated from Cale High School in 1969 and then joined the U.S. Army where he served for two years, and then joined the Army National Guard. In 1990, SSG Williams went into active duty as Support of Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm, as a medic for the 148th Evac Hospital. He was awarded Honorable Discharge in May of 1991. He continued to work for the VA Hospital and retired in 1999.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; Ervin Martin, John Martin and John S. Williams.
He leaves to cherish him one brother, Jerry (Brenda) Williams of Rooston; five sisters, Naydean (Walter) Blakney of Little Rock, AR, Jane Weston of Sherwood, AR, Betty Williams of Prescott, AR, Linda Thompson of Monticello, AR ad Rose (Eddie) Frazier of Texarkana, TX. He also leave behind a host of nieces and nephews as well as great-nieces and great-nephews.
Although gone from this physical realm Perry will remain In our hearts and his memories etched in our minds until we meet again.
