Bill was born on September 11, 1930 in Pine Bluff, AR to parents William C. Waller, Sr. and Clara Grace Waller. He graduated from Pine Bluff High School in 1948 and held jobs in the Electrical Industry prior to his enlistment in the US Air Force, January 4, 1951 which resulted in a three year tour of duty. Upon leaving the Air Force, he attended Arkansas A&M College at Monticello before transferring to the University of Arkansas. During his Junior year at the University, Bill married Eula Mae Hales on April 4, 1956. He graduated from the University of Arkansas with a BS Degree in Electrical Engineering in May of 1957 and was of the Baptist faith.
Upon graduation from the University, Bill accepted a job with Schlumberger Well Services as a Field Engineer in Morgan City, Louisiana. He held various positions with Schlumberger in South Louisiana, Houston, Texas; Denver, Colorado and Dallas, Texas prior to his retirement January 1, 1989.
Bill was a Registered Professional Engineer in both Louisiana and Texas. He was a long time member of the Society of Professional Log Analysis and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
A memorial service will be held August 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel in Monticello, Arkansas. Burial will be at Green Hill Cemetery, Green Hill, Arkansas. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
