She was the widow of Blackwell James, retired from Burlington Industries and was a receptionist for Green Thumb and was a member of Second Baptist Church. She was the daughter of the late James Haynes and Georganne Tamon Haynes.
Survivors include one son, Alvin James and wife, Irma of Monticello; one daughter, Deborah Cunningham and husband, Jay of Lonoke; one sister, Evora King of Alexander, LA; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
