He was a millworker and shipping clerk and a member of the Baptist faith. Donnie's hobbies included playing his many guitars, motorcycle riding, shooting sports and boating. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Gus and Lucille Wheeler and Walter and Audrey Wright; and a nephew, Christopher Harris.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Peacock Wheeler of Monticello; his mother, Patricia Wright Wheeler of Monticello; his father, Donald Ray Wheeler, Sr. of Monticello; one sister, Angie Harris and husband Keanan of Warren; and two nephews, Jonathan and Ethan Harris.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Wilmar Cemetery. Visitation 1-2:00 p.m. prior to service time at the chapel. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
