Leon Stearns, age 85 of Monticello, passed away Monday, November 25, 2019 at Bradley County Medical Center in Warren. He was born September 22, 1934 in Bowling, OK to the late Ervine and Jeffery Stearns.

He graduated elementary school in Bowling and later attended school in Omaha, NE. He was a retired employee of Max Trucking Company as a truck driver. He was united in holy matrimony to Nancy Wells and one son was born to their union.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Nancy Wells Stearns of Monticello; his son, Terry Stearns of Omaha, NE; his sister, Ms. Easter Stearns Taylor and brother-in-law, Early Taylor of Pasadena, CA; his grandchildren, Shawntel, Donye', Leron, Drew, Mareble, Terrance and Marchie Damper and Mike Dunn; great-granchildren, Symone, Marcus, Kevin, Alsvia, Drew, Jr., Awyah, and Donye' Jr. Damper, Daniel Spears, Travis Davis, and Zoe Antonia Creighton; and great-great-grandchildren, Mya, Michael, Jr., and Samar.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation one hour prior to service time at the chapel. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
