In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his ex-wife, Effuah Christina Jefferson; three brothers, Calvin Jones, Thomas Jones and Fredrick Jefferson and one sister, Eula Daniels.
Jimmy was of the Baptist faith and attended Drew County public schools. He worked as a logger and repaired small engines for many years. He was affectionately known as "Tamp" and to the children, "Uncle Jimmy." His favorite word "Otherwise."
He leaves to cherish his memory: two sons, Roger Jordan and Keith (Michelle) Jefferson, both of Monticello, AR; four daughters, Natasha Fisher of Morrilton, AR, Rebecca Thompson of Monticello, AR, Michonda Lamb of Clarksville, TN, and Teresa Simpson of Monticello, AR; one who he raised as his own, LaQuinta Wimberly; two sisters, Shirley Kellum of Kansas City and Katherine (Eugene) Jones of Warren, AR; two brothers, Kenneth Jefferson of Milwaukee, WI and James (Joyce) Jones of Waynesville, MO; eight grandchildren: Marlon, Jalen, Tynisha, Chaquavia, Jashia, Kameron, Kamarion, and Kamarii; and one great grandchild, Iman; special friends, Troy Lee Foster and Robert Douglas, Jr; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, December 14, 2019 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Burial will be at Brooks Chapel Cemetery. Online guestbook www.stephensondearman.com.
