John W. Wilson, age 78 of Monticello, passed away Sunday, January 26, 2020 at his granddaughter's home in Star City. He was born July 27, 1941 in Fair Oaks, AR to the late Hubert Wilson and Myrtle Stephens Wilson.

He retired from Timberland Enterprises as office manager over the chemical warehouse, was a United States Army Veteran of Vietnam and was a Christian. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one brother, Robert Wilson; and one granddaughter, Brianne Hoffman.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Wilson of Hector; three sons, David Wilson (Shannon) of Star City, John Paul Wilson (Jessie) and Ronald Wilson (Andrea) both of Wynne; two daughters, Rhonda Cathey of Wynne and Sharon Bennett of Jonesboro; four brothers, James Wilson (Darlene), Shorty Wilson (Yong), Kenny Wilson (Delinda) all of Wynne and Danny Joe Wilson of West Memphis; one sister, Barbara Faye Wilson of Wynne; one step-son, Kevin Hoffman (Peggy) of Hector; along with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 29, 2020 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Burial will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, January 30, 2020 in the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery, 3600 Hwy 163, Birdeye, AR.
