He retired from pipeline work and was now owner/operator of Monticello Exxon. He was a member of Pauline Missionary Baptist Church. In addition to his father, he was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, Kim Montgomery; and two nephews, Dustin Montgomery and Tray Hale.
Survivors include his wife, Terri Tilley Montgomery of Monticello; one son, Byron Keith Montgomery and wife Hillary of Monticello; one daughter, Kelley Jo Rasco Eckhart and husband Jim of North Little Rock; his mother, Pebble Ward Montgomery of Monticello; one brother, Robert Montgomery of Brazoria, TX; two sisters, Diane Higgs and husband Mark of Carlisle and Jennifer Clements and husband Daren of Sachse, TX; four grandchildren, Amelia, Owen, Nash and James; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday at Pauline Missionary Baptist Church with burial to follow in Union Cemetery at Rye. Visitation 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
