She was the widow of Joseph P. Jones, who was born in South Hill, VA in 1917. He was an Air Force veteran and worked as an electrician most of his life and some for the Corp of Engineers. He passed away at the Woods in 2009. Clydine was a Presbyterian, a kindergarten teacher, a school teacher and a music teacher. She worked for Pomeroy and McGowin and retired as secretary to the Registrar at the University of Arkansas at Monticello after 21 years of service. Clydine loved life, her friends, her family, her music and her Lord. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also preceded in death by one brother, Howell Clanton.
Survivors include one son, Tom Jones, 75 of Monticello; and two nephews, Dan and Duane Clanton and their families.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 6, 2020 at Stephenson-Dearman Chapel with burial to follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
