James Sanson, Jr., age 77 of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff. James was born March 4, 1943, to the Late James Samson, Sr. and Louise Hill Sanson. He was a graduate from that University of Arkansas at Monticello with a degree in education, a retired school teacher and convenience store worker. He was also a member of First Assembly of God Church and a Sunday School Teacher.

Along with is parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby J. Peacock.

James is survived by his sister, Shirley Hill Jones and husband Sampy of Lacey; two nephews, Tony Hill and wife Cindy and Bradley Hill; four great nephews, Evan Hill, Tyler Hill, Jessy Hill, and Rodney Allen; and one great niece, Ashley Lynn.
