Along with is parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother, Bobby J. Peacock.
James is survived by his sister, Shirley Hill Jones and husband Sampy of Lacey; two nephews, Tony Hill and wife Cindy and Bradley Hill; four great nephews, Evan Hill, Tyler Hill, Jessy Hill, and Rodney Allen; and one great niece, Ashley Lynn.
