I met Bob in 2003 when we broke bread together at a company function. He was a joy to be with at these company functions. We had fun talking about business and of course 'politics' We were on the same beam. I was honored to have had him as my roommate at the lhe recent National Sales Mtg. in San Diego. We enjoyed each others company. He was so kind and thought ful in helping others to succeed. Bob was quite the gentlemen. God bless his loving wife Sara and his family. Our prayers are with you in this time of grief. Joe and Ruth DeRoy

    Dear Wall Family:

I got to meet Mr. Wall a couple of years ago when he helped us with some promotional items that we needed to buy. I just was struck right away by his kind and gentle nature and could see where Colin got his good qualities!! He gave us some little items that he had as samples of various things, and I still have several of them in my office. I always think of him when I use them, and how sweet he was to us. That little tube of lip balm is going to have a special place in my desk!

It's funny how you can meet a person briefly, and right away you know that you are getting something special. I can see here that so many have been lucky to have known him; some for a short time and some for a very long time, and so many lives have been touched in a positive way.

I know your hearts are broken right now. It is hard to lose someone so precious to you, but I know "Mr. Bob" is going to be watching over you and still supporting you with his love. I can't imagine how proud he must have been of his family, and his grandbabies. You all are a tribute to him.

Colin, thank you for introducing me to your father. I am praying for your peace through this difficult time.

    Tonia

I was shocked and saddened to hear of Mr. Wall's passing. He and Mrs. Wall were colleagues, coworkers, and great friends over the years. I have known Mr. Wall all of my life. He gave me grief when I was a child. Of course, he was just having fun in his typical manner. Bob Wall was a friend to students, an excellent educator, and a servant of the Lord. Just after preaching my mother's funeral, Mr. Wall greeted me and said, "God was honored today." I believe that Mr. Wall truly honored God by his life, and there is no doubt that he now is enjoying a great reward in Heaven. I pray for your entire family.

Sara and family I was so shocked to hear about the passing of Mr. Bob. I was so fortunate to run into him at one of the Monticello baseball games while they were in the state playoffs the first of May. We had a good long visit. He was really a super nice guy and I know he was a great example to many students who came through MHS and that includes myself. It didn't matter what your status was, if you were a human being he treated you special. I am just so thankful he was in my life while I was growing up in Monticello. You are all in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Sara and family, I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I remember both of you from our days at college in Monticello and at Pauline Missionary Baptist Church. I'm grateful for such wonderful memories that go back to retreats at Boggs Springs Encampment. On July 13, it will be four years since Billy passed away from brain cancer. Perhaps he and Bob are having a nice visit. You and your family are in my prayers.
  37. Virginia McCurdy
Sara and Sons -- I'm now twice as sorry I didn't get to the school this year. I certainly would have enjoyed another visit with Bob during that time. I can't even estimate how lost you're all feeling at this time. He was such a presence and such a really good guy. For the past 20 years he's been a presence in my life, even though certainly not every day. When dealing with calendar problems, I almost always thought - now how would Bob handle this.

The gaps in your lives will be huge and, I'm sure, tough to fill. Your faith will undoubtedly help you through this tough, tough time.

Deeply sympathetic, Gary & Virginia McCurdy

I deeply admired Bob and enjoyed every visit we had as he came to the bank to sell his wares. I considered Bob as a very good friend. Bob Wall was one of the greatest men that I have had the honor to know. He had a wonderful sense of humor so that adults and kids alike were attracted to him. He was a kind and gentle man and above all very devoted to the Lord's church. Bob could have never known how much his time kidding Paul mean to him and our family.

  55. Whitney Kirk
    Mrs. Wall and Colin,

I am so sorry to hear about your loss! Mr. Wall was a great man. I'm sure you know that he encouraged many people...but maybe you didn't know that I am one of them. He believed in me when I was an awkward 12 year old girl with a perm. I admit that I thought he was silly at the time; but years later when I began to work towards my goal of becoming Miss Arkansas, I thought about Mr. Wall. He knew I could do it, so why not?!

I've been in New York for 6 years pursuing an acting career, and sometimes, it is mighty discouraging. His words strengthen and encourage me still.

You are such a kind and generous family. My thoughts and prayers are with you; but mostly, I am praising God that I got to cross paths with HIS good and faithful servant here on earth.

    Love always,
    Whitney Kirk
  56. James Bacon

It was so good to reunite with you this past May in Hot Springs. I am so sorry I am writing now to offer my sincere condolences to you and your family during this sad time. Please know that you are in my thoughts and prayers...may God hold you in His loving arms in the days ahead.

    To Bob's Family,

On Sunday, I talked with Colin, Leanna and Bob, Jr (Henry) at First Methodist in Wynne. I asked Colin how his Dad was doing and I believe he told me he was doing fine so I was shocked to hear of his passing so soon after. Obviously, neither of us knew our Lord would call him home that quickly.

I grew up with Bob in Hickory Ridge and played on the basketball team with him during his junior and senior seasons (he played the center position very well and scored often with those long arms and long stride). Bob was always a special person to my family, and me, including that he was my Mother's best customer during the many years she operated a dairy bar. I heard her tell that fact on numerous occasions even after she and Dad moved to Wynne. I have always treasured the memories of those days. Bob was a great person, a Christian, and everyone new it by the way he lived. All that have known him, will miss him but rejoice and find comfort that he his with our Lord. God Bless you all.
  59. Ann Scogin
Mr. Bob will surely be missed. He was such a big and loving man.

    Dear Mrs. Wall,
as everyone is stating, no words can express how we all feel about loosing Mr. Wall. Between you and he, you guys were there for so many of us growing up and being such a big part of our lives, and for that I am truly grateful. You taught us how to sing, Mr. Bob taught us how to laugh and keep smiling. As members of our class were chatting on line about Mr. Bob's passing, we all have so many fond memories of his counsleling us. whether that be for good or bad, the times at the pond when he participated in so many of the school acitivites and again, taught us that laughter was so important. If you need anything or we can do anything for you Please dont hesitate to ask. You are in my prayers and thoughts.

    Mrs. Wall and Family,

Words cannot express how saddened we all were to learn of Bob's passing. He has been an icon here at our bank in Newport for many, many years. His kind demeanor and soft spoken ways have always made him one of our favorite people. We looked forward to seeing him any time he was passing through Newport.

There was never a time when we were visiting with Bob that he didn't brag on his family - especially his sons and his grandsons. A very proud father and grandfather.

Please know that there are those with whom you have probably never met who are grieving with you at this time, and we send our prayers and our love. He will be sorely missed.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Bob's family. Taylor spoke of the kindness Mr. Bob and his family showed the girls basketball team. His generous treatment of the girls created a UAM family that the girls and parents cannot express in just words. Thank you from our family for the support and guidance that Mr. Bob provided. We spoke often at the games and loved to listen to the stories he provided to our family. God has blessed all those who have come in contact with Mr. Bob.

    Youles, Rhonda, Taylor Clark

  101. George and Tommie Moyers
    Dear Sara and Family,
George and I are so sorry for your loss. May God hold each of you close for strength to get through the coming days. They will be harder than ever imagined but, He will carry you through.
"Mr. Bob", as every child at Pauline has known him, will be so missed. He is the most true picture of a Christian there is. His love for children was so special to the little ones and those who have grown up and had their own children. "Mr. Bob" loved lifting the little ones up to the high shelf he called the Heaven Seat. I remember as a kid knowing that every time I came to church "Mr. Bob" would pick on or tease me either before or after church.
We are so thankful to have known and loved him. We all have so many fond and precious memories. Thank you, Sara, Jonathan, Colin and family for sharing him with us. You are in our prayers.
    Much Love,
    Tommie and George

    Mrs. Wall,
You and Mr. Wall were such a positive part of my High School years and beyond. You were so gracious to offer your pool to our youth group. Mr. Wall was always so happy and spread that joy wherever he went. Both of my boys just loved him. He will be missed.

I remember Bob taking me to the ASU campus one summer when he was attending summer school. I feel in love with ASU -- spent some of my most fun years there. Bob was always one of my favorite cousins. I still have a Glenn Campbell Album he signed == he favored Glenn Campbell back then. You will be missed.
