She was an avid reader and had a great love of learning. Belinda was well educated and held two degrees; a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arkansas at Monticello and a Masters Degree in Technical Theatre from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Belinda held family above all else and was a devoted wife and mother to four daughters; Valerie, Caitlin, Rebecca, and Alexandra, into whom she instilled her qualities of outspokenness and to stand with conviction behind their opinions.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Curtis, and her mother Shirley.
Belinda leaves behind many who will miss her, family and friends, that include; her father, W.T. Mathews; her brother, George Mathews, Sr. and wife Lynn, and their three children, Holly Marie, George, and Daniel; her youngest brother Roger Mathews and wife; and sister-in-law, Connie Mathews.
She also leaves behind a husband grateful to have been blessed to share her life for 45 years with his family; Jim Mitchell and wife Angie, Nephews, Steve Mitchell, and J.B. Mitchell; Mary Jo Mitchell and nieces Leigh and Aundi, and nephew, Trenton.
She also left behind many others who will miss her including Sarah Brown, Garrard Wesson, Sara Ridd, Ashley Wheeler, Autumn Brown, as well as a multitude of associations through work and the internet.
