Norma worked for many years in the Monticello School District as a secretary and retired from the Arkansas River Educational Coop in Pine Bluff. She was a member of First United Methodist Churches in Pine Bluff and Monticello, where she taught the young couples Sunday School class for several years. She was also a long-time member of PEO.
Norma was a lifelong social butterfly always enjoying family and friends. She also welcomed any and all to their home for fun and fellowship and have husband Joe cook and bake for everyone. She loved to entertain and always looked forward to all of the family reunions. She was pampered and spoiled by her husband Joe for over 69 years. Mrs. Norma never met a stranger and was always up in "everybody's business."
Survivors include her husband of 69 years, Franklin Joe Fletcher of Monticello; three sons, Tony Fletcher (Kimberly) of Monticello, Terry Fletcher (Tonya) of Little Rock and Tim Fletcher (Aly) of Shreveport, LA; seven grandchildren, Rex Fletcher (Meghann) of Fort Smith, Chloe Fletcher of Little Rock, Sydney Fletcher Moss (Mark) of Shreveport, LA, Sally Jo Fletcher Fischer (Hayden) of Little Rock, Peyton Fletcher James (Jo) of Austin, AR, and Caroline Copeland and Pierce Copeland of Shreveport, LA; and two great grandchildren, Fletcher Andrew Moss of Shreveport, LA and Kai Allen James of Austin, AR; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Monticello, AR Monday, February 1, 2021 I met Ms Norma several, several years ago when she and Mr Fletcher began coming into western Sizzlin where I am a server. From the first time we spoke, we became buddies. She made me feel SO happy to just be around her. She may have been in her 80s, but that precious old body housed the spirit of a teenager! No amount of words can express how much I loved her. I will always remember her spunk and the way she lit up my life. I KNOW you are teaching “dance” in Heaven!!Kent McRae
