He was a retired co-owner of Young's Bar-B-Que, member of Enon Baptist Church and was a United States Army Veteran. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers and four sisters.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon Young Hancock of Monticello; two sons, Mike Hancock and wife Donna of Star City and Steve Hancock of Monticello; a sister-in-law, Shirley Hancock; five grandchildren, Jake Hancock of Lakeland, FL, Larua Hancock George and husband Wesley of Warren, Somer Hancock of Lakeland, FL, Micha Rodger and husband David of Star City, and Brannon Rodgers of Star City; several great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Per his request, there will be no services held.
