    Lynda,

Much sympathy from my mom, my brothers Harold and Charles Anderson, and me.

Mrs. Carter was the BEST teacher I ever had! By the end of 8th grade, her students were prepared not just for high school English classes, but college as well. She made such an impression on me that I followed the same career path!

Your dad was a special man, and they balanced each other so well! All of us who went to Sherrill schools during the "Carter Era" were blessed indeed!

I know you have many happy memories!

I am so sorry I cannot be with you at this time. We had many - many good times and made many memories together. I alway think of her as a very good friend rather than my sister-in-law. My prayers are with you.
    With Love, Malischka Dunlap

Mrs. Carter taught me in the third grade and again in the fifth grade. Mr. Ben taught me in Junior High. Both were very special . My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time.
  4. Pam Pipkin Shaw
Mrs. Carter was my 5th grade teacher and my 7th and 8th English teacher at Sherrill, AR. To this day I can still diagram a sentence all because of her. She meant so much to the Pipkin family. She taught all of my 5 brothers and sisters also. You are very blessed to have had her in this world so long. I know she will be missed.
  5. Guy Carter, Jr.
Lynda, you can be proud of both Uncle Ben and Aunt Irene. They were an inspiration to me and I'm sure to many others as well. Neither will be ever be forgotten, for they're always in our memories.

We knew Irene and Ben when they lived in Monticello and Irene attended our Sunday School Class. She was a guest in our home for parties during that time. We remember her being a very intelligent and nice person who was socially agreeable. We know Irene is in a better place with God. May God comfort her Family.
  7. Mildred Brackin Cagle
A college roommate, a friend always, a brave, compassionate, great lady. The world is a better place for her having lived in it.
  8. Bill and Mildred Herring
Linda our prayers and thoughts are with you during this time of grief. We are here for you in any way we can help. Bill had just asked me a few days ago when was the last time I talked with Irene.
