He was retired from O & M Oil Co and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 35 years, Louvenia Cater, and one sister-in-law Deborah Cater.
Survivors include one stepson, John Fore and wife Rhonda of Lebanon, MO; three stepdaughters, Nancy Chapman and husband Steve of Monticello, Penny Heyman of Lebanon, MO, and Betty Evans and husband Don of Pine Bluff; one sister, Deborah Wyckoff and husband Wesley of Monticello. Three Brothers, Joe Cater of Monticello AR, Mark Cater and wife Sherry of Wilmar, AR and Tim Cater of Monticello, AR. Fourteen grandchildren, thirty great-grandchildren, five great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020, at Old Union Cemetery. There will be a come-and-go viewing from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Covid-19 guidelines will be enforced. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
