Norman L. "Donnie" Kellum, age 90 of Monticello, passed away Saturday, January 2, 2021, at the Woods Nursing and Rehab in Monticello. He was born August 21, 1930, in Lyon, AR to the late I.J. "Tode" Kellum and Christerlene Burchfield Kellum.

He was a retired skidder driver for Burton Nowlen Logging and a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church. Donnie loved squirrel hunting but was known for being quite the crappie fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Martha June Crain Kellum; one sister, Annette Hall; one brother, Harold Kellum; a son-in-law, Harrell Rhodes, Jr.; his paternal grandparents, George Washington Kellum and Sarah Sparks Kellum; and his maternal grandparents, Luther L. Burchfield and Laura Dingler Burchfield.

Survivors include three daughters, Gina Rhodes and Gayle Brown (Bobby) all of Monticello and Michelle Lay (Randy) of Garrett Bridge; a brother and sister-in-law, Carl and Helen Crain of Memphis, TN; a brother-in-law, Barry Hall of Monticello; one grandson, Brandt Brown of Monticello; one granddaughter, Lillian Lay of Garrett Bridge; one great granddaughter, Landree Kate; along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

Graveside services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2021, at Oakland Cemetery in Monticello. Memorials may be made to the Oak Grove Assembly of God Church Kitchen or Building Fund; PO Box 628 Monticello, AR 71657. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.

    I’m so sorry to read about Donnie. I always told him that he was my “Best Dressed” customer when he was going crappie fishing. He always had pressed blue jeans and a pressed shirt on each time he went. He always called me his friend each time I saw him. I will forever cherish that friendship.
