He was a retired welder and a Baptist. Robert was a loving husband and father for 32 1/2 years. He was funny, caring and so many other adjectives to describe this wonderful man. He worked hard until he couldn't but then he switched to taking care of his wife. He took over all duties for her so all she had to do was work. Robert also loved to dream up stories to tell his children who were his inspiration. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki Crass of Monticello; his daughter, Kayla Hale and spouse Nathan of Memphis, TN; his son, Josh Crass of Monticello; two brothers, Michael Crass of Hamburg and John Crass and spouse Sharon of Monticello; one sister, Janie Berryman of Monticello; along with several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
There will be a come-and-go viewing from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Saturday, January 9, 2021, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Covid-19 guidelines will be enforced. Burial will be in Pleasant Springs Cemetery. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.

Independence, MO Thursday, January 7, 2021 An amazing man who was larger than life with a presence that couldn't be missed. Always had a story to tell that most often than not left you in stitches. Thank you for being the best Uncle I could have ever asked for. I miss siting around the dinner table during summer breaks. I miss you yelling at me and Kayla to quiet down and go to bed late at night. I miss our own little chats early in the morning as you got ready for work. I miss our visits with Memaw as we gathered in her living room or kitchen and listened to the stories being told. Most of all, I just miss you! I love you Uncle Robert. Save a seat for me up there when my time comes to see you again.Galvin and Tasha Wilson
