I have fond memories of playing golf with Jimmy. I know he loved to hunt and fish, and would tell me about seeing my Dad they were fishing on the same lake.

Jimmy was such a special man. He was always ready to help give golf tips and free lessons. I loved listening to his stories and was amazed by his interesting life. He will certainly be missed and the golf course is going to be lonely without him. Rest In Peace Jimmy 🙏❤️

Rusty, I will sure miss seeing your dad at the post office every week. He always drove his little truck with the boat in the back and wore his camo clothes. It was so great to see him because it sent me go back in time when he and my dad (Paul Wallick) would get together and go duckhunting. What wonderful memories! So sorry for your loss!

Andy and Rusty: We are saddened to hear of the loss of your father. May you find comfort in good memories. He spoke of his sons and talked about how proud he was of you. Your dad was a selfless person that gave freely of his time to help fellow golfers. He was a great golf teacher and could have been a Master Golf Instructor, but he enjoyed keeping things simple. Jimmy leaves his legacy with many golfers. He will be fondly remembered as a golf buddy, a golf instructor, and a friend to many. I am grateful I had the chance to know him. He will be missed.

A lost treasure of a person, a non-conformist, a person I never heard say anything negative about others, a free-thinker, and i wished their were more men (true real men) like this man. I remember the most exciting times when a young boy, stopping by The Drake Master's House after school on cold winter days, and waking him up to hear about the adventures in the cutt-off-creek WMA and he would pull the map out and with real authentic excitement and point to where the ducks were using the area, in spring it was crappy fishing time, and Golf. I will see you on the other side my good friend and will shake your hand telling you thank you and we will recount all those great times. This man was one of the most authentic people I ever met as well by default of that he was just himself, not more not less, he was natural and by default of being authentic he could be real with people unashamed and because of that he "I can truly say was a real friend" he never had a competition within him to outdo anyone. He always rejoiced in a good wingshot, and good golf shot. Jason M Perry

Andy and Rusty, I am sorry about the death of your dad. I am praying for comfort and peace for you and your families at this sad time. I enjoyed working with Jimmy at the Southeast Arkansas Educational Co-op. He was so comical and always doing something to make us all laugh -- like riding a flat cart with wheels like a skate board in the hall of the old dorm where the Co-op was housed then. I remember meeting him coming out of the office on pay day waving his check in the air and singing, "I like it, I love it, I want some more of it!" Not only did he have a great personality, but he was also a very intelligent person. This Monticello icon will be missed.
