Our beloved mother, Ouida Annette Bayird went home to be with our heavenly Father on August 3, with her family by her side. Ouida was born in McGehee, Arkansas and grew up around the Dumas and Watson area. Her early married life took her to Southern California where she lived with her husband and two children, then moved back to Arkansas and made their home of 38 years in Monticello.

Ouida loved the simple things in life. She loved working in the garden, fishing with her husband and making a wonderful and loving home for her family. She shared the love of reading with her sisters and was a navigator for her husband on their many trips. He says he will get lost without her. She believed that Jesus Christ was her Lord and Savior and also in the power of prayer.

She was preceded in death by her father, Charlie McCuan, her mother, Gladys Hall McCuan, brother, Larry Joe, sister, Shirley Jane McCuan and one infant child, Charlotte Bayird.

Survivors include her husband of 55 years, John Bayird of Monticello; two sons, Johnny Ray Bayird and wife, Sandy of Hot Springs and Andy Bayird and wife, Jessica of Monticello; one daughter, Pamela Henry and husband, Ricky of Warren; her sisters, Janette Breeding of Monticello, Frances Powell of Watson, Sue and Linda Stubblefield of Bakersfield, CA; her brothers, Richard and Bobby McCuan of Bakersfield, CA, Gene McCuan of Sparks, OK and Jack McCuan of Monticello; grandchildren, Christine Baggett and husband, Lee of Warren, Jay-Jay Bayird and wife, Dana of Stuttgart, Holly Henry of Warren; six great-grandchildren, Jessica, Jimmy, Lizzy, Dillon, Breanna, Dixie and one on the way.

Mom, you may be gone but you will never be forgotten. We will hold you in our hearts and memories for the rest of our lives. You left a lasting impression on all of your family and friends and we will miss you very much.. We love you, always.
