He retired in 1991 after many years of working for AT&T in Little Rock, before moving with his lovely wife to Pansy, AR. Bobby's hobbies included repairing small motors, spending time with his wife on cruises, bus tours, vacations with his grandkids, and fixing up his home and gardens. His grandchildren fondly remember the countless hours he spent with them swimming and having fun.
Bobby accepted the Lord as his Savior at the Assembly of God Church in Atkins, AR, and attended Enon Missionary Baptist Church. He loved his church and church family very much. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a son, David Capes; one brother, Dolan Capes; two sisters, Lois Scruggs and Carolyn Sue Lungingham; one granddaughter, Becky Vinson; and a grandson, Michael Wayne Irons.
Survivors include his wife, Gladys Ringo Capes of Pansy; two daughters, Diane Barbee and husband Gene of Hot Springs and Vickie Vinson and husband Mark of Rye; one son, Jackie Morrow and wife Diane of Vilonia; grandchildren, Tammie Penland, Amber Middleton, Carl Morrow, Logan Irons, Kyle Irons, Benjamin Capes, David Capes, Shane Capes, Vincent Vinson, and Vanessa Vinson; great grandchildren, Peyton Penland, Kaylee Napier, Kage Morrow and Dustin Holley; and one great-great grandchild, Joseph David Holley.
Funeral service will be 4:30 p.m. Saturday, August 28, 2021, at Enon Missionary Baptist Church in Rye, AR with burial in Enon Cemetery. There will be a visitation preceding the funeral service at the church beginning at 3:30 p.m. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
