In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by three brothers, Charles E. Oakes, Chester Oakes, and Johnny Oakes.
She is survived by her son, Curtis Lynn Brockwell of Monticello; one sister, LaVeda Oakes Allen and husband Jack of Monticello; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
There will be a come-and-go visitation from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Chapel, Saturday, September 25, 2021, from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Online guestbook at www.stephensondearman.com.
