Shirley Fay Gibson, 72, of Monticello, passed away Sunday, August 29, 2010 at her home. She was born October 5, 1937 in Lawrenceburg, TN.

She was a retired bookkeeper for Hartness Lumber Company and Dr. Randy McKiever and a Baptist. She was the daughter of the late Leon Benford and Gladys Mae Freeman Benford, and was preceded in death by one sister, one son and one grandson.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Gibson of Monticello; two sons, James Gibson and wife, Linda of Dumas and Bill Gibson of Monticello; one daughter, Cindy Gibson of Monticello; one sister, Virginia Whitmer of Canton, OH; six grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
