She was the youngest of four children. In 2007, Glenda joined Mt. Tabor Baptist Church where she served as Sunday School Secretary, Youth Sunday School teacher and Deaconess. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a brother, Forest Davis; a sister, Faustiane Davis; and a son, Curley L. Jackson, Jr.
She attended school and graduated from Coleman High School, then went on to college at the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff where she majored in Biology with a minor in Chemistry. She didn't stop her education there; she received her Masters degree at SAU Magnolia. She then worked in education for over 40 years before her retirement. After her retirement, her favorite hobby remained in the science field reading many books and articles on a daily basis. Even though she is no longer with us, she will live on in every student's life that she touched.
She leaves behind to cherish her memories a loving husband, Curley L. Jackson, Sr. of Wilmar; four children, Dexter B. Davis and wife Donna of Sugar Land, TX, Roger Davis, Jr. and wife Tabitha of Pine Bluff, Matthew A. Jackson and wife Noemia of Anchorage, Alaska and Marquita A. Jackson of Philadelphia, MS; one sister, Jacqueline Davis; and five grandchildren, Cassi Davis, Breonna Copeland, Danielle Davis, Ashley Davis and Roger Davis.
Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in Wilmar Cemetery. You can sign Glenda's guestbook page at www.stephensondearman.com.
