She was the widow of Arlee Cater, a homemaker/housewife and a member of Oak Grove Assembly of God Church. She was the daughter of the late Robert Wesley Green and Unettie Glover Green.
Survivors include three sons, Robert Cater and wife, Joan of Redfield, Willie Cater and wife, Sheri of Channelview, TX and James Cater and wife, Betty of Porter, TX; six daughters, Earlene Dunn and husband, Larry of New Caney, TX, Virginia Hood and husband, Clyde, Margaret Thrower and Joyce Scroggins and husband, Ronnie, all of Monticello, Ruth Morgan and husband, Todd of Coker, AL and Lawanda Penick and husband, Jerry of Monticello; one sister, Lavetra Fogleman of Whitney, TX; seventeen grandchildren, thirty two great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
