She was the widow of William Pamplin, a retired Burlington Industries employee and member of Pleasant Springs Baptist Church. Rita was a huge country music fan where Trace Atkins and Reba McIntyre were her favorite artists. She also loved crocheting, traveling to Branson and was an excellent cook. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Clifton and Ruby Collins.
Survivors include her two sons, Andy Lee Hayden (April Harrison) and Brady Joe Hayden (Breeanna) both of Monticello; one brother, Jimmy Owens (Nickie) of Rock Springs; two grandchildren, Dixie Morrison and Wyatt (Scooter) Hayden; her nieces and nephews, Jaime Hunter (Ken), Stacy Owens and Landon Owens (Andra); four great nieces and one great nephew.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 12, 2022, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ben Frank Leonard officiating. There will be a visitation from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery.
