Carolyn grew up in the Wilmar Community and graduated from Wilmar High School. She confessed her faith in Christ at an early age. She was a homemaker who would spend her time cooking at different deer camps.
Carolyn enjoyed reading the bible, walking, listening to music, and spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Gertrude Taylor; two sisters, Ometha Cameron and Lillie Bell McCloy; three brothers, James Durden, Carl Taylor (her twin), and Earl Taylor; and her nephew, Kevon Taylor.
She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Demetric (Jacqueline) Spencer of Dumas, Arkansas; one daughter, Shandra King of Little Rock, Arkansas; five grandchildren, Aleiya Trotter, Cadyn Allen, Earl Holmes, Detrundrick (Jaquay) Holmes, and Dominique Holmes; eight great-grandchildren; three sisters, Robbie Brown of California; Mary Ann (Earnest) Jackson of El Dorado, Arkansas, and Josephine (Otis) Demon of Spokane, Washington; one brother, Herman (Alice) Durden of Chicago, Illinois; one uncle, Garland Fletcher of Wilmar, Arkansas; one sister-in-law, Joyce Taylor of Wilmar, Arkansas; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. in the Stephenson-Dearman Chapel. Burial will follow in Wilmar Cemetery.
