She was the widow of Norman Murphy, a retired secretary and homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by four brothers and one sister.
Survivors include her son, Douglas Murphy and wife Judy Brint-Murphy of Sherwood; two sisters, Peggy Norman of Pine Bluff and Bobbie Rogers and husband Daniel of Hampton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; along with her fur babies.
Graveside services will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023, at Union Ridge Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home preceding the graveside service. You can sign Mrs. Bettye's guestbook page at www.stephensondearman.com.
