He was retired from Southwestern Bell Telephone, member of the Arkansas National Guard and a Baptist. Jerry's hobbies included hunting, fishing, gardening, playing the piano and guitar and watching the Arkansas Razorbacks. He was a long-standing member of Carter Hunting Club and a proud member of the local chapter of AA. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by two brothers, Mike and Dennis Cooper.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Sharon Beavers Bayliss of Monticello; one son, Jerry (J.J.) Bayliss, Jr. and wife Koby; one daughter, Kimberly Wallis and husband Ray; three grandchildren, Joel Lyndon Wallis, Samuel McArthur Wallis and Jakob Owen Bayliss; along with a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and great friends. The family wishes to express their deepest thanks to the Faulkner Family for their endless support and assistance.
