He was a log truck driver and member of Union Methodist Church in Rye, AR. Jamie enjoyed hunting, fishing and just doing anything outdoors. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his stepfather, Bobby Craig; and his brother, Larry Wayne Nixon.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Shirley Lansdale Taylor of Warren; one son, Christopher Wayne Taylor of Rye; his siblings, Scott Taylor and wife Frances of Warren, Shannon Taylor of Little Rock, Denise Taylor of Russellville, Timmy Jolley and wife Phyllis of Possum Valley and Brandon Acree and wife Amber of Monticello; a step-brother, Shannon Shelby of Warren; very special aunt, Jean Forrest of Rye; very special friend, Dewayne Harden; along with numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, relatives and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 5, 2023, at Union Cemetery in Rye. There will be a visitation preceding the graveside service from 9:30-10:00 a.m. at the cemetery. You can sign Jamie's guestbook page at www.stephensondearman.com.
