Winfred ''Clark'' Wilmoth, age 57, of Mt. Tabor, AR, passed away June 28, 2023, at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello, AR. He was born May 27, 1966, to the late John Clyde ''Johnny'' Wilmoth, Sr. and Pauline Connard Wilmoth in Monticello, Arkansas. Clark was married to the love of his life, Leigh Anne Moore Wilmoth for 33 years. You did not see one without the other very often. They were two peas in a pod in every adventure life put before them. His two boys and two grandbabies were the light of Clark's eyes and his pride and joy. Before his retirement, Clark was a teacher for 29 years, 26 of those years at Drew Central, where he taught science and was the EAST facilitator. He was also the baseball coach for 8 of the years he was at Drew Central. He was affectionately known to all the Pirate Nation by either Mr. Wilmoth, Uncle Clark, or Coach. Clark loved anything outdoors, from his cows to farming, to hunting, to fishing or just setting out on the dock with Leigh Anne watching the water. He was a member of Mt. Tabor Methodist Church and the caretaker for Mt. Tabor Cemetery. He was also a proud Master Mason. Clark never met a stranger and would help anyone in need.
In addition to his parents, Clark was preceded in death by his brother, John Clyde Wilmoth, Jr.; mother-in-law, Pat Moore; father-in-law, Billy Moore; and step-mother-in-law, Carolyn Moore.
Clark is survived by his wife, Leigh Anne; two sons, Billy Wilmoth and wife Alex of Conway, AR and Thomas Wilmoth and wife Madelin of Mt. Tabor, AR; two grandchildren, Naomi Rose Wilmoth and Luke Russell Wilmoth; one sister, Suzanne Webb and husband Greg of Sherwood, AR; two brothers-in-law, Michael Moore and wife Tina of Mt. Tabor, and Allen Moore and wife Rhonda of Sherwood, AR; step-brother-in-law, Jeff Henley and wife Markuetta of Florence, AR; step sister-in-law, Suzy Norris of Pickens, AR; nieces and nephews, Ashleigh Webb, Leighton Stubbs, Derick Moore, Kara Nealey, Sydney Dial, Olivia Moore, Aiden Moore, Ella Moore, and Ava Moore; great nieces and nephews, Aaron-Parker Moore, Paislyn Nealey, Huntley Nealey, soon to arrive, Oakley Nealey; step-nieces and nephews, Miles Henley, Jessica Covey, Alex Armstrong, Alisha Myers, Mary Beth Norris; and a host of other nieces, nephews, family and friends.

  1. Lowell F. Lynde, Jr.
Leigh Anne, I was sorry to hear about Clark's death--much too young to die so soon. I first met Clark in my Survey of Math class at UAM in the fall of 1986. I thought he was a hard worker and someone dedicated to becoming a good teacher/coach. Those beliefs were borne out by his career and life. The last time I saw him was years later when he and his sons were selling watermelons out of the back of his truck on the east side of Monticello. May God comfort you and your sons and grant you many happy memories of the life you shared with Clark.

I have known Clark since he and Leigh Anne started dating as teenagers. I have watched them grow together and as a couple and family at the end of Mt. Tabor Road were the finest examples of a Christian family for others to follow.Mr. Clark Wilmoth was always kind and the kind of neighbor that helped when needed. I know his family is going to miss him sorely. The only comfort I have in his passing is where he is at... With The Lord Jesus Christ. Our Savior.
