Benjamin Cleveland Reynolds, Jr., 81, passed away Monday, November 8 in Star City. He was born June 19, 1929 in Rye and served with the 187th Airborne Paratrooper Unit in the Korean War. He was a member of Oak Grove Free Will Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Allie Woolridge Reynolds, Sr.; his stepmother, Orie Word Reynolds, who raised him from the age of 4 years; one step-brother and step-sister.

He is survived by his wife of almost 59 years; Shirley Brewster Reynolds; one son, Richard Reynolds of Wilmar; two daughters, Diane Newman and husband Buster of Monticello and Robena Harper and husband Stan of Rabun Gap, Georgia; two sisters, Kathryn Reaves of Warren and Charlsie Nichols of Monticello; a step-sister, Velma Kulbeth of Tempe, AZ; two brothers, Hugh Donald Reynolds of Warren and Emmitte Wesley Reynolds of Detroit, Texas; three granddaughters, Jaci Newman Andrews of Seattle, WA, Kaci Reynolds Brown of Jonesboro and Jennifer Harper of San Francisco, CA and one great-grandson Weston Brown of Jonesboro.
