She was the widow of Samuel E. Helm, Jr., a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith. Mrs. Ella and her husband Sam, who was in the Marines, loved their lives together during their time in the military. After retiring, they resided in Georgia before she moved back to Monticello. In addition to her husband, she is also preceded in death by three sisters, Claudie Wolfe Gladden, Marscille Wolfe Williams and Rachel Marie Wolfe Barnes.
Mrs. Ella is survived by many nieces and nephews; her best friend's two daughters; and many friends, all of which she loved dearly.

Monticello, AR Friday, May 24, 2024 Mrs. Ella's family and friends have my condolences at this sad time. She and my dad Derwood McClain were childhood friends. My dad was a disabled veteran, and I can remember Mrs. Ella coming by our house to visit him when she was in Monticello visiting relatives. You have my prayers of comfort.Janice Gladden Wiggam
Hot Springs VIllage, AR Wednesday, May 22, 2024 What a beautiful aunt, my Aunt Ella, my mother's sister. She lived a good and long life caring for everyone she knew. She loved us and all the Marine children as well. She is now with our God, at peace and free of all pain. Now she is with her beloved husband, our dear uncle, Sam, Major US Marine Corp Retired.Roger Barnes
