Monticello, AR Wednesday, December 15, 2010 I somehow wanted to say a few words about my granny on this day, and thought this would be the best way. The following are just a few examples of how she was THE BEST GRANNY ANYONE HAS EVER HAD: When I was a little girl I would walk or ride my bike down to Granny's and even though she was busy running a household, everytime I told her I wanted to play a game (scrabble, dominos, etc.) she stopped everything and played with me. She let me stir the cornbread batter she made daily. She let me make mud pies and didn't care how dirty I got. She grabbed an Easter basket and hunted eggs with all us kids, ,she kept my five week old baby (Jared) while I went to work because my mother had surgery, she saved homemade biscuits for me every morning, when I was a young working mother she would call me at the end of the day and say "I got you some supper for your family, come pick it up", I had the best of both worlds when I was a kid because I would see if Granny had a better looking supper than my mom and always go eat with her and Papa. When I am blessed with grandchildren of my own I plan to use the example of "my granny" and be THE BEST GRANNY ANYONE HAS EVER HAD! Love, Rhonda KayeGloria Schwab

Sherwood, AR Tuesday, December 14, 2010 I offer my deepest sympathy to this family, whom I have known and loved all of my life. Ms. Roberta was such a sweet lady and, now as an adult, I realize how tolerant she also was. When Jerry Flemister and I were young boys, we assumed everything in the Enon Community was community property. The proof of that is, we fished in everyone's ponds and we didn't always ask. Actually, I seem to recall we moreorless informed a neighbor we were headed to their pond. I remember Ms. Roberta saying, "Wait, I'll get my pole and go too." Ms. Pinky Chisom would do the same thing. I don't know if it really takes a Village to raise a child, but, it seems to have taken the entire Enon Community with wonderful people like Ms. Roberta to get us raised. I wouldn't take anything for those special memories.David & Pamela Rash
