Jearldine ''Jerri'' Higgins, cherished and known for her effervescent personality, passed away on October 15, 2024. She is the daughter of Bruce and Irene Mitchell.

Playfully nicknamed ''little miss sunshine'' by her granddaughter Alex, she lived proudly with that moniker, exuding a bright bubbly energy that warmly filled each room she entered. Jerri never knew a stranger, enjoying conversation with anyone fortunate to experience her whit and presence. Jerri exuded a strength and grace even in life's toughest moments that was felt by those around her.

Jerri passionately loved serving her church and praising the Lord. Her attitude towards life reflected her deep faith in Jesus. She had a heart for service and caring for others. Always on the go, Jerri traveled all over the world with friends and family. From the beaches of Mexico to the emerald green valleys of Scotland, she loved experiencing the wonders of the earth and made irreplaceable memories along the way. When she wasn't globe trotting, she loved reading and was an avid supporter of libraries and their services to the community.

Jerri was undoubtedly greeted at the gates of heaven by the love of her life and husband, Harold Higgins. She leaves behind a daughter and son-in-law Kathy and Rex Borchardt, granddaughter and her husband Alexandra Borchardt and Max Hughes, sister Alverta Gay, sister-in-law Mary Jo Mitchell, brother-in-law Gordon Higgins, and many nieces and nephews. Always popular, Jerri leaves behind many friends, including Wanda Blood and Norma Deines, that she adored and who adored her. She is also survived by Howard and Lisa Higgins, Hannah Higgins, Rhonda Mallard, and Linda Swindell.

Jerri Higgins left an incredible impact on the hearts of those who loved her. A memorial service will be held at Stephenson - Dearman Funeral Home in Monticello, Arkansas on Saturday, October 26th at 11a.m. You can sign Mrs. Jerri's guestbook registry on this page.
