Robbie Lee Shepherd Roark, 81, of Wilmar, passed away Friday, December 31, 2010 at Drew Memorial Hospital in Monticello. She was born November 16, 1929 in Drew County.

She was a retired L. P. N., having graduated from Nursing School in Pine Bluff. She worked in Nursing Homes in Warren, and home health and was Seventh-Day Adventist faith. She was also a homemaker, a seamstress and enjoyed gardening and doing for her family. She loved gospel music and enjoyed singing specials with her husband at church.

She was the daughter of the late Leonard Shepherd and Myrtle Herring Shepherd and was preceded in death by four brothers, Lester, Earsel, Henry and Melvin Herring; two sisters, Ruby Britton and Audrey Sawyer.

Survivors include her husband of 63 years, S. T. Roark of Wilmar; one son, David Roark of Wilmar; one daughter, Lisa Schmidt of Wilmar; three sisters, Lucille Casteel of Pine Bluff, Rosie Lee Young of Wilmar and Bessie Dee West of Warren; grandson, Jonathan Adams of Austin, TX; granddaughter, Heather Adams of Ft. Worth, TX; great-granddaughter, Scarlette Cason of Ft. Worth, TX.
