He was retired from the United States Air National Guard and was a millworker for many years. John loved hunting, fishing, studying history and watching football. John was also a great storyteller, Razorback fan and loved watching sci-fi movies. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Christopher Harris.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Angie Wheeler Harris of Warren; two sons, Jonathan Harris and wife Jordan of White Hall and Ethan R. Harris of Warren; one brother, Mark Harris and wife Joan of Wilmar; sister-in-law, Cindy Wheeler of Monticello; and four grandchildren, Faithlyn, Madison, Christopher Don and Ronnie.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 2, 2025, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Wayman Mann and Brother Mark Harris officiating. There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. preceding the funeral service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Wilmar Cemetery. You can sign John's guestbook registry on this page.
