She was the widow of Alvin Jordan, homemaker and an active member of Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church for many years until her health started to fail. She taught Sunday School for many years and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary where she hosted many showers. Mrs. Marie loved putting up vegetables from her husband's garden and cooking meals for her family. She loved the Lord with all her heart and that was evident in the life she lived. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Jordan Martin; a brother, J.E. Loveless; and three sisters, Geneva O'Neill, Opal Lively and Elizabeth White.
She is survived by two sons, Paul Jordan and wife Connie of Paragould and David Jordan and wife Stacy of Conway; a daughter, Annette Jordan Watson and husband Kenny of the Selma Community; a son-in-law, Ricky Martin and wife Amber of Pontotoc, MS; grandchildren, Josh Martin and wife Ashley of Crossett, Jeremy Martin and wife Magen , C.J. Watson and wife Sara all of Monticello, Ryan Watson and wife Lindsey of Selma, Jane Marie Austin and husband Dan of Paragould, Courtney Zulpo and husband Alex of Greenbrier and Macy Allen and husband Caleb of Conway; great grandchildren, Jordan Watson Self (Lane), William Paul Watson (Kyla), Tanner, Talin and Tynlee Watson, Caleb and Brody Martin, Maggie, Rushing and Karis Martin, Bethany Austin, and Zander and Zayvin Zulpo; one great-great grandson, Elliot Self; two sisters-in-law, Jane Jordan and Glynda Jordan; along with numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to issue a special thank you to Kim Franklin and The Woods Nursing Home.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 15, 2025, at Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. David Jacks officiating. There will be a visitation from 1:00-2:00 p.m. preceding the funeral service at the church. Burial will be in Union Ridge Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers are Josh Martin, Jeremy Martin, C.J. Watson, Ryan Watson, Will Watson and Caleb Martin. Memorials are preferred to Shady Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 111 Hwy. 172, Monticello, AR 71655.
