She recently retired from Wal Mart where she had 26 years of service and was of the Baptist faith. Mrs. Audrey loved cooking and sharing recipes on Facebook, dancing and watching Friends on television with her son. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, James Anthony Mitchell; a brother, Mark Barnett; and three sisters, Dean Barnett, Dorothy Hensley and Rose Maxwell.
Survivors include two sons, James B. Mitchell of Crossett and Steven Mitchell and wife Tonya of Del City, OK; her former husband, Jim Mitchell of Crossett; one half-sister, Jodean Tew and husband James of Crossett; two nieces, Claudia Freeman husband Larry and Crystal Mills; along with a host of her Wal Mart friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 12, 2025, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel. There will be a visitation Tuesday evening from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Rash Cemetery. You can sign Mrs. Audrey's guestbook registry on this website.
