He was a retired pipeliner who deeply loved working with his Latex family and running a side boom on the pipeline during his operating career or, ''living the dream'' as he would say it. He also loved working on old cars and trucks, forging steel, woodcarving, gardening, drawing, spending time with his mini Dachshund Green Bean. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and family, reminiscing, making the block around town or down to the river in his cowboy truck, socializing and having a drink while simply just making people laugh. He was a member of The International Union of Operating Engineers and the Laborers' International Union of North America. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a brother, Tom Burt.
Billy is survived by one daughter, Alexis McDaniel and husband Justin; one son, Fred Stanley Case and wife Ashley; one brother, Jim Burt; one sister, Cheryl Lassiter; five grandchildren, Annabella, Remi, Kye Liam, Brianna & Weylyn; and his significant other, Nicole Balliett. His world revolved around his grandchildren who he loved dearly.
Funeral services will be held at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at Stephenson-Dearman Funeral Chapel with Rev. Mark Harris officiating.
