He was a logger, heavy equipment operator and construction worker and the son of the late Ozie and Lovetter Daniels Simpson.
Survivors include one brother, John Henry Simpson of North Little Rock; four sisters, Lee Ethel Harris of Ft. Mills, North Carolina, Mary Gaynor of North Little Rock, Semenie Wherry of Little Rock and Gloria Rycraw of Houston, Texas; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
