My sincere condolences to the Dodson family. It is always a pleasure to attend the Dodson reunions. Pete always greeted me with a big smile and an extended left hand to shake. I was proud to work with him at Monticello Junior High, and will think often of him for as long as I last.

James and Connie, it's been a lot of years since we lived as next door neighbors but you never forget good neighbors. Bill has been gone 14 years - hard to believe. We talked of you often and I still think of you often. Please know that you are in my heart and my prayers at this difficult time. I didn't know Pete and I'll bet I missed something by not having known him. I look forward to meeting him in Heaven one sweet day. Please stay strong in the Lord and may he give you the peace and comfort that only HE can at a time like this.

    Love to you all,
    Carole

Thinking of my family in Monticello and Pete's wife, Carrie, during this time of sadness! Pete was always so generous to my sister and I when we were little girls. Not with just his "dollar" gifts but with his time as well. He loved me and I knew it. He knew my children and was interested in our lives. He cared and it showed. I feel blessed to call him my "Uncle Pete"! I will never forget him! Love to you all!

Thank you for being involved in my life as a little girl from sno cones to goofing off. Thank you for showing gentle, kind interest in myself and our kids Graci and Ben. Momma would have loved you even more for the time you spent with them. She loved you just like your other sisters do(they spoiled you)! Our hearts hurt for our loss but to imagine you out of pain and just sittin' in heaven with momma(DaisyMae)/Daddy, Mamaw and Papaw delights my heart....we will miss you.

I enjoyed being around Pete, he was always good for a laugh. He never allowed his own disabilities to keep him from helping me anytime I needed it. Pete, you are gone but you will never be forgotten.
