He was retired from SeaArk Marine, a U. S. Army Veteran and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his father, Allen Woodrow Clayton; one brother, Dwight Clayton and a daughter, Rona Michelle Clayton.
Survivors include his wife, Christi D. Thomas Clayton of Wilmar; two sons, Bo Clayton of Dumas and Lincoln Gibson of Little Rock; two daughters, Shelley Miller of Watson and Felicia Clayton of Monticello; his mother, Anna Plunkett Clayton of Watson; five sisters, Peggy Chapman of Tillar, Jeanie Pennington of Pine Bluff, Glenda McEwen of Greenbrier, Judy Smith of Sherwood and Jane Donley of Winchester; one step-son, Jimmy Wicker of Little Rock; one step-daughter, Kayla Wicker of Fouke; five grandchildren, Kailey & Katelyn Miller, Bryce & Bailey Clayton and Jaydyn Jones.
Pallbearers are Marshall Wigley, Tim Wargo, Earl Rainey, Paul Beard, Haltom Gillespie and Mike Stephens.
