She loved her family, cooking, was retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of the Shady Grove Baptist Church. She was the widow of Albert Devine and was also preceded in death by her parents, Virgil and Effie Hamilton Carrington; one daughter, Gayla Marnell Free and two brothers, Murl and Leon Carrington.
Survivors include two sons, Albert Eugene Devine & wife, Linda and James Laron "Buddy" Devine both of Monticello; one daughter, Brenda Kay Adcock and husband, Jim of Monticello; a niece whom she raised, Janie Knowles; five grandchildren, Amanda Leigh Groce and husband, Trey, Amy Lynn Sikes and husband Mark, Matthew Aaron Devine and wife, Andrea, Lindsey Burris and husband, Britt and Stephanie Nicole Free; one great-grandchild, Rylie Cate Burris; a special friend, J.W. Smith; a very special and loving caregiver, Gracie Sawyer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
