She was retired from Burlington Industries and was a member of First Assembly of God Church. She was the widow of James Carrol Chalk and was also preceded in death by three brothers, Ray Doss, W.C. Doss an Orby Stringfellow and three sisters, Nikki Doss, Minnie Lou Bennett and Anita Stacks.
Survivors include; two daughters, Mary Kathryn Miller and Norma Jean Smith both of Monticello; one brother, Johnny Stringfellow of Dumas; three grandchildren, James Miller, Lewis Smith and Dwlya Howard; four great-grandsons and one great-granddaughter.
