Glenn Steven Carter, age 71, of Monticello, passed away Friday, February 3, 2012 at UAMS Hospital in Little Rock. He was born August 26, 1940 in Plant City, FL.

He was a retired truck driver and a Baptist. He was the son of the late Luther Charlie Carter and Virginia Lucille Bradshaw Carter and was also preceded in death by one brother, Virgil Joe Carter and one sister, Barbara Lucille Harper.

Survivors include his wife, Ollie Simpson Carter of Monticello; one son, Joseph Carter of Monticello; one daughter, Becky Carter of Pickens; two brothers, Kenneth Eugene Carter and wife, Betty of Pasadena, TX and Jack Carter and wife, Jill of Gonzales, LA; one sister, Patricia Welch of Plant City, FL; one aunt, Evelyn Mullis of Mulberry, FL; three granddaughters, Caley Shae Carter, Samantha Gayle Carter and Tonya Palmer; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
