I served in the armed forces.
James Erwood Jones, 81, of Little Rock, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at St. Vincents in Little Rock. He was the son of the late Erwood and Lula Durham Jones of Lacey, AR and was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret E. Jones.

He was a retired school teacher, having taught machine shop 28 plus years, at Little Rock Tech, Metropolian VoTech and Pulaski VoTech, and was also a licensed real estate agent. He graduated from Drew Central High School in 1948, served in the U. S. Army during the Korean conflict, attended Oklahoma A & M before graduating from Arkansas A&M (now UAM) in 1958. He then attended graduate school at the University of Central Arkansas. He was a member of Hebron Baptist Church in Little Rock, the Arkansas Bluegrass Association, the VFW Benton Post, the Albert Pike Masons of Little Rock and Eagles Aerie #60..

Survivors include his daughter, Susan Young and husband, Scott of Little Rock; one son, Kenneth Jones of Little Rock; one sister, Velma Jones of Monticello; one grandson, Austin Young of Little Rock.
