He graduated from Drew High School and AM&N, now UAPB. He confessed a hope in Christ at an early age and joined Strangers Rest A.M.E. Church. He later attended Mt. Pleasant. He moved to Kansas City, KS after school and remained there until his health failed. Soon after, he returned home to be with his family.
He leaves to cherish his memory, seven brothers, Chris Ridgell of Bloomfield, MI, Earl Ridgell (Ann) of Grand Blanc, MI, Donald Ridgell (Maxine), Dwight Ridgell (Cathy), Douglas Ridgell, Bommie Ridgell (Dauphina), all of Monticello and Billy Ridgell (Stephine) of Warren; one sister, Charity Miller (Jeremiah) of Star City; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
