Emmett Wilson McManus, Jr., 69, of Ladelle, Arkansas, passed from his earthly home Thursday, March 22, 2012 in Jasper, TX.

He was born February 24, 1943, in Ladelle, Arkansas to Edna Fuqua McManus and Emmett Wilson McManus, Sr. He served in the United States Army, National Army Reserve, and was a member of Ladelle Baptist Church and the VFW of Monticello.

He was most at home on a deer stand in the woods or on the lake. Emmett was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jeanette Strahan; baby daughter, Janet Suzanne McManus; sister, Dorothy McManus Patrick and brother-in-law, Rubin Patrick.

He is survived by his sons, Emmett Curtis McManus and wife Regina of Jasper, Texas, Michael David Graves and wife Debbie of Pittsburg, Texas and Jason Bowen of Fayetteville, Arkansas; his daughters, Emily McManus Canfield & husband Chad of Cabot, Arkansas., and Kim Renee' Cummins of Nederland, Texas; his brother, Vernon Eugene McManus and wife Betty of Ladelle, Arkansas; 8 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

You were about to say something to make me feel better; you made me laugh. Thanks for the ggod times we had together.
